Hillside NA-NWDA ReVive-ReClaim-ReCycle Day
Provide Hillside and NWDA neighborhoods a place to 1) swap or donate reusable, gently-used household goods and clothing 2) recycle or upcycle goods and materials in a safe and eco-conscious manner, 3) fill landfill-bound drop boxes with only bulky, broken, unusable items which cannot disposed of using your regular garbage can, and finally 4) securely shred private documents.
There are 2 volunteer shifts available:
- 8:30am-12:15pm -- recieving & sorting, participant education, loading dropboxes.
- 11:00am-3:30pm -- recieving & sorting donations, loading trucks, event wrap-up.
Advanced Registration: Is highly suggested but not required. Please sign up (green button below) ahead of time to guarantee your spot.
Meeting Location: Volunteers will be meeting in the St. Mary Cathedral Parking Lot (1700 block of NW Davis St). The lot is on the north side of NW Davis St, across from the Cathedral.

What to Bring: Please wear closed-toed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a backpack for hands-free convenience. Feel free to bring your personal tools if available and a reusable water bottle to support our sustainability efforts.
What's Provided: Orange safety vests (15). Trash grabbers (5). SOLVE's leather gloves (10 pairs) and utility gloves (10 pairs) - please bring your own if you can.
Restrooms: One portable toilet will be available in the Cathedral parking lot.
Parking: Limited parking availability in the center spaces of the Cathedral lot. City street parking in the vicinity of St Mary Cathedral.
Transit: Trimet bus lines 15, 20, 24, and 26.
Accessibility: This area is accessible for folks with mobility concerns.
Translation Services: There will not be a Spanish speaker present at this event.
Participant Age Guidelines: Recommended for Ages 13 and Up
