National Public Lands Day at Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area

Join the Yaquina Head crew on September 26th for fee-free National Public Lands Day festivities! Help us celebrate the stewardship of public lands and the Bureau of Land Management's (BLM) 80th birthday. There will be a wide range of volunteer projects including a beach clean-up, invasive plant removal, and garden maintenance. Additionally, a few of our amazing local partners and the BLM's very own Seymour the Antelope will be present.

Meeting Location: Volunteers will meet at the Yaquina Head Interpretive Center.

What to Bring: Please wear closed-toed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a backpack for hands-free convenience. Feel free to bring your personal tools if available and a reusable water bottle to support our sustainability efforts.

What's Provided: All entry at Yaquina Head will be free on NPLD! Volunteers will be provided with service project tools, such as gloves and trash bags. Additionally, volunteers will receive t-shirts, snacks, and coupons for future free park entry while supplies last.

Restrooms: There are accessible vault toilets near each service project site and flush toilets at the Interpretive Center.

Parking: Volunteers are encouraged to park at the Yaquina Head Interpretive Center Parking Lot where you will sign-in and meet the rangers. The service projects will each occur within a 0.5 mile walk from the Interpretive Center.

Transit: Not available nearby

Accessibility: This area may not be easily accessible for folks with mobility concerns.

Translation Services: There will not be a Spanish speaker present at this event.
