Downtown Milwaukie Cleanup

Join the Historic Milwaukie Neighborhood Association, Clackamas Water Environment Services & SOLVE for a cleanup. We'll meet at Milwaukie Bay Park before spreading out into the Historic Milwaukie neighborhood, picking up litter and waste from McLoughlin Blvd to the Milwaukie Expressway.

Cleanups like this are important because when trash  -- plastic bags, bottles, cigarette butts, etc. — is thrown on the ground, it gets washed into storm drains and directly into our waterways. In addition to potentially choking, suffocating, or disabling aquatic life like ducks, fish, turtles, and birds, litter decreases oxygen levels in the water when it decays. Most litter can be recycled, which protects the environment, saves our natural resources, and keeps our streets and greenspaces clean.

Advanced Registration: Is highly suggested but not required. Please sign up (green button below) ahead of time to guarantee your spot.

Meeting Location: We will meet in the grassy area near the boat launch. Look for a canopy tent & tables.

What to Bring: Please wear closed-toed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a backpack for hands-free convenience. Feel free to bring your personal tools if available and a reusable water bottle to support our sustainability efforts.

What's Provided: Grabbers, gloves, vests, trash bags.

Restrooms: There is a public bathroom at the park.

Parking: There is limited parking at Milwaukie Bay Park but plenty of street parking nearby as well as a large public lot in front Pfreim Brewing. Please do not park in the boat launch area.

Transit: Trimet #70, 34, 33 and Max Orange Line

Accessibility: This area is accessible for folks with mobility concerns.

Translation Services: There will not be a Spanish speaker present at this event.
