Fred Meyer Earth Day Kick Off at Director Park

Join us as we launch Earth Month with a community cleanup right in the heart of downtown Portland! This event is part of our ongoing efforts to revitalize downtown through the Detrash Portland series. 

We’re gathering at Director Park to celebrate the start of a month dedicated to caring for our neighborhoods, our shared spaces, and our planet. 🌎

Together with Fred Meyer, we’ll spend the morning removing litter, connecting with neighbors, and setting the tone for a month of collective action across Oregon and SW Washington. Whether you’re a longtime volunteer or joining us for the first time, your time and energy make a real difference! ✨
 

Advanced Registration: Is highly suggested but not required. Please sign up (green button below) ahead of time to guarantee your spot.

Meeting Location: At Director Park. Look for SOLVE signage, staff and check-in area.

What to Bring: Please wear closed-toed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a backpack for hands-free convenience. Feel free to bring your personal tools if available and a reusable water bottle to support our sustainability efforts.

What's Provided: Trash bags, litter grabbers, work gloves, and vests.

Restrooms: Restrooms are available at various retail establishments in downtown, and public restrooms. Please plan accordingly.

Parking: Parking is available in public lots and on-street, metered spaces. Please use public transit if you can!

Transit: Check TRIMET for your best route to the site!

Accessibility: This area is accessible for folks with mobility concerns.

Translation Services: There will not be a Spanish speaker present at this event.
