Manhattan Beach Cleanup in Rockaway
The Salmonberry Trail and Tillamook County Wellness will be supporting Oregon State Parks and the City of Rockaway Beach to remove litter at Manhattan Beach State Recreation Site! This is part of SOLVE's series for International Coastal Cleanup Day and World Rivers Day. Not as popular as the beach in Rockaway, we are excited to give this lesser known coastal gem some TLC.
We will convene at the parking lot (near the restrooms) at 10AM on Sunday, Septeber 27th. Once everyone has a safety briefing and gets supplies, we will begin the litter cleanup in parking areas and along the beach. Our end point will be South Nehalem River Jetty at Rockaway Beach.

Advanced Registration: Is required. Please sign up (green button below) ahead of time to guarantee your spot.
Meeting Location: Look for the SOLVE signs near the restrooms at Manhattan Beach State Recreation Site. Manhattan Beach State Recreation Site is on the West side of Hwy 101, across from Neah-Kah-Nie High School.

What to Bring: Please wear closed-toed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a backpack for hands-free convenience. Feel free to bring your personal tools if available and a reusable water bottle to support our sustainability efforts.
What's Provided: We will provide trash bags, trash grabbers, and gloves. Please bring a water container for yourself, we will be able to provide light snacks.
Restrooms: There are public restrooms in the parking lot of Manhattan Beach State Recreation Site
Parking: Free parking in the lot at Manhattan Beach State Recreation Site.
Transit: The Wave Bus – Tillamook Transportation District
Accessibility: This area is accessible for folks with mobility concerns.
Translation Services: There will be a Spanish speaker present at this event.
