SOLVE Wreck of the Peter Iredale Beach Cleanup

Join SOLVE and Fort George Brewery on Saturday, September 19, from 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. for a community cleanup at beautiful Peter Iredale Beach in Fort Stevens State Park.
This event is part of SOLVE’s annual Beach & Riverside Cleanup, taking place September 18–27. Throughout this region-wide effort, volunteers will come together at sites along the Oregon Coast and major waterways across Oregon and Southwest Washington to remove litter and hazardous debris before it can harm wildlife, pollute our waterways, or reach the Pacific Ocean.
We’ll gather near the parking lot before heading out along the coastline to collect consumer waste, marine debris, and micro-trash. Every item removed will contribute to a much larger regional impact while helping protect Oregon’s beaches, wildlife, waterways, and coastal communities.
We’re especially excited to partner with Fort George Brewery, a family-owned craft brewery that has been proudly rooted in Astoria since 2007. While Fort George’s original beers are distributed throughout the Pacific Northwest, its heart remains firmly in its thriving coastal community.
To thank volunteers for their hard work, Fort George will provide canned water and beer for participants ages 21 and older. We’re incredibly grateful for their partnership and look forward to many more opportunities to collaborate and care for the coast together!
