Clean Up Sitka Sedge State Natural Area

Come out to Sitka Sedge State Natural Area on Monday, September 21 from 10am - 1pm to clean up the trails and sandy beach within the Snowy Plover Management Area. Snowy plover nesting season will have just ended which is a great time to remove the build up of marine debris over the course of the spring and summer. Help us keep our beaches, waterways, and ocean clean and safe for people and wildlife! 

We'll meet in the Sitka Sedge State Natural Area day-use parking lot then head out as a group from there. FYI - there is no cell service in the parking lot or throughout most of the park and beach. Bring binoculars to hopefully observe the cryptic snowy plovers! Beach snacks will be provided. Round trip walking distance is about 3 miles.
