Rockaway Beach Cleanup at Pelican Brewing
Join SOLVE and Pelican Brewing on Saturday, September 19, from 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. for a community cleanup of beautiful Rockaway Beach as we kick off SOLVE's annual Beach & Riverside Cleanup (September 18–27)—a statewide effort to remove litter and hazardous marine debris before it can harm wildlife, pollute our waterways, or wash out to the Pacific Ocean.
We'll gather at Pelican Brewing before heading out to clean both the coastline and neighboring streets that lead directly to the beach. By removing consumer waste, marine debris, and micro-trash before it reaches storm drains and waterways, we'll help stop litter from being swept out to sea while protecting Oregon's beaches, wildlife, and coastal communities.
As a thank-you for making a difference, every volunteer will receive a complimentary beverage voucher from Pelican Brewing after the cleanup. Come enjoy a morning of fresh ocean air, community, and meaningful impact—we can't wait to see you there!

What to Bring: Please wear closed-toed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a backpack for hands-free convenience. Feel free to bring your personal tools if available and a reusable water bottle to support our sustainability efforts.
What's Provided: All equipment and tools, trash collection containers, deluxe litter grabbers, protective work gloves, sand-sifters, and high-visibility vests.
Restrooms: Restrooms are available near the check-in site.
Parking: Ample street parking and Rockaway Beach city center nearby. Look for SOLVE signs, a canopy with check-in tables, and SOLVE staff.
Transit: Not available nearby
Accessibility: This area may not be easily accessible for folks with mobility concerns.
Translation Services: There will not be a Spanish speaker present at this event.
