Annual Earth Day Clean Up

This is our third annual Earth Day Clean Up of the Warrenton Waterfrant Trail, which spans from the Hammond Marina to through Skipanon River Park. We will meet at Big Game Fishing for supplies and to break off into groups, then return to Big Game Fishing for a group photo of all of our collected trash. We have supplies, but feel free to bring your own if you would like!

Advanced Registration: Is highly suggested but not required. Please sign up (green button below) ahead of time to guarantee your spot.

Meeting Location: Big Game Fishing is the only business located in the Hammond Marina. There will be Solve signs.

What to Bring: Please wear closed-toed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a backpack for hands-free convenience. Feel free to bring your personal tools if available and a reusable water bottle to support our sustainability efforts.

What's Provided: We have trash pickers, bags, buckets, gloves, etc. Please dress accordingly (close-toed shoes and long pants are recommended, due to blackberries etc)

Restrooms: Public restrooms at the marina

Parking: There is free parking at Big Game Fishing, or if you park in the Hammond Marina, there is a kiosk to purchase a $10 parking pass.

Transit: Not available nearby

Accessibility: This area is accessible for folks with mobility concerns.

Translation Services: There will not be a Spanish speaker present at this event.

Participant Age Guidelines: Recommended for Ages 13 and Up

This event is done in collaboration with the Warrenton Parks Alliance, a nonprofit that is helping to improve parks and recreational areas with clean-ups, invasive species removal, and fundraising for upgrades.
