Umatilla River Cleanup (Pendleton) 2026

Come join us on Saturday, April 25, 9:00-12 noon at Pendleton's Stillman Park!
Registration starts at 9 a.m. and once everyone is registered, there will be a safety briefing. Then, everyone can fan out both upriver and downriver along the 2.5 mile Umatilla River Parkway. We'll clean up the walking path, the levee and the riverbank. Those with excellent strength and agility can go across to the north side of the river, where there is no path.
If you don't have your own gloves, we will supply them, along with trash bags. Please wear long pants and sturdy shoes, and bring water.

Meeting Location: Stillman Park is at the intersection of SE Byers Ave. and SE 4th St. next to the River Parkway.

What to Bring: Please wear closed-toed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a backpack for hands-free convenience. Feel free to bring your personal tools if available and a reusable water bottle to support our sustainability efforts.
What's Provided: Trash bags, gloves, and a limited number of grabbers.
Restrooms: Restrooms are available at Stillman Park, and also at Roy Raley Park to the west.
Parking: Park across the street from the park's picnic shelter, in the parking lot on the west side of SE 4th St.
Transit: Not available nearby
Accessibility: This area is accessible for folks with mobility concerns.
Translation Services: There will not be a Spanish speaker present at this event.
