World Water Day Broughton Beach Cleanup

On Sunday, March 22, 2026, WaterStrong invites you to celebrate World Water Day through a full day of community events focused on water appreciation. Join SOLVE and WaterStrong in caring for the Columbia River shoreline with a riverwalk and beach cleanup at Broughton Beach.
After the cleanup, stick around to join in a cold-water swim, sauna session, science pub happy hour, or community book reading. Drop in for a single activity or stay for the entire day!
Advanced Registration: Is highly suggested but not required. Please sign up (green button below) ahead of time to guarantee your spot.
Meeting Location: Volunteers will be meeting in the eastern most parking lot of Broughton Beach, past the Gleason Boat Ramp. Look for SOLVE and WaterStrong signs.

What to Bring: Please wear closed-toed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a backpack for hands-free convenience. Feel free to bring your personal tools if available and a reusable water bottle to support our sustainability efforts.
What's Provided: SOLVE will provide gloves, safety vests, litter grabbers, buckets, and trash bags. Water Strong will provide parking passes for volunteers. Please BYO reusable water bottle to stay hydrated!
Restrooms: Restrooms are available by the Gleason Boat Ramp parking lot.
Parking: Parking is available in the Broughton Beach parking lot. Parking passes will be provided by WaterStrong.
Transit: Not available nearby
Accessibility: This area may not be easily accessible for folks with mobility concerns.
Translation Services: There will not be a Spanish speaker present at this event.
