Pier Park Pick-Up

We will be removing invasives like ivy and blackberry, picking up litter, dragging fallen limbs into piles, and weeding the new beds of native plant to help give them a good start. All ages and families are welcome. Work begins at 9 am with a short orientation talk and finishes up about noon. Wear good work shoes and be prepared for the weather. If you have them, bring your own work gloves and a container for water. We will have fresh water to fill your containers. Friends of Pier Park will also provide coffee and donuts for all volunteers.
Advanced Registration: Is highly suggested but not required. Please sign up (green button below) ahead of time to guarantee your spot.
Meeting Location: Volunteers will meet at the maintenance shack at the corner of N Bruce Ave. and N James St. Look for the SOLVE sign.

What to Bring: Please wear closed-toed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a backpack for hands-free convenience. Feel free to bring your personal tools if available and a reusable water bottle to support our sustainability efforts.
What's Provided: Gloves and tools including rakes, shovels, and trowels.
Restrooms: There is a restroom very close to where we are meeting, next to hole 1 of the disc golf course.
Parking: Street parking is available.
Transit: Pier Park is off of Lombard in North Portland and is served by TriMet lines 44 and 75.
Accessibility: This area is accessible for folks with mobility concerns.
Translation Services: There will not be a Spanish speaker present at this event.
